iCashier

​There is a trouble problem which is always happened in our life – a long queuing in a store because of the shortage of cashiers and too many customers. It causes customer dissatisfaction. In order to solve the problem, InnoTech develops an iCashier which could save the time of scanning products. Moreover, by using the iCashier, customer could be a self-cashier to make the purchasing and checkout process by themselves. Here is the innovative checkout method – iCashier presented by InnoTech.

InnoTech™ introduce equipments leasing service which provides sets of automated checkout machines called iCashier, consisting of shopping baskets with RFID scanner, checkout machines and a system linked all devices.

 

In operation, when placing products into baskets, customers can use RFID scanner to scan the product's’ barcode. The basket will automatically count the number of products and total prices. In checkout process, customers bring their basket to a check-out machine which can pack products inside the basket into customers’ bag directly. This machine, through the system, will show the amount of products and then handle the payment transaction.

 

The iCashier are innovative because they provide two special functions which cannot be found in Hong Kong. First, during customers putting products into baskets, the products are already scanned. It can reduce checkout waiting time.Second, iCashier provides automated packing function which package products into bag for customers considerately and rapidly.

RFID Sensor

In order to reduce the length of checkout queues, InnoTech decided to install the RFID sensor into each trolley. Customers only need to place the commodities into the trolley, then the barcode affixed with the commodities will be scanned by RFID sensor immediately. Meanwhile, the information of the commodities such as unit price, quantity and description will also scanned through the barcode and send to the device, which is placed on the trolley. Since integrating the scanning step into the products placing process is more efficient and effective to decrease the queuing time of customers, this sensor can help customers to save queuing time.

Product Details Display

To serve the customers in different languages and make the iCashier system more user-friendly, InnoTech™ has added five languages into the product details display, namely Traditional Chinese, Simple Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean. Also, each display will show the quantity, unit price, description and the total cost of purchases after bar-codes scanning. This function helps the customers to see whether they have brought enough commodities and check whether the commodities are correctly recorded.

Special Offers Reminder 

In order to increase the purchase intention of customers who have shopping targets and boost the sales of our consumer, discount reminders and pop-up advertisement will be shown on the display screen. Users can easily receive numerous information about the commodiates, and find the additional commodiates that they are not expected to buy before.

Automatic Checkout Machine

In order to help the consumers to reduce the labour costs and make the checkout process more accurate, automatic checkout machine will handle the payment procedure after connecting with the device on the trolley automatically. Along with the simple operation interface, customers can settle their balance easily without any human error. Since there is no human is required within the checkout process, the labour costs and other related costs can be saved.
